DENVER, CO — Dr. Lisa Calderón, candidate for Mayor of Denver, announced that her campaign has officially qualified for Denver's Fair Election Fund — achieving the milestone in two months since launching her campaign. The qualification reflects an outpouring of grassroots support from hundreds of Denver residents spanning 34 zip codes from every corner of the city.
To qualify for the Fair Election Fund, candidates must demonstrate broad-based community support by collecting a minimum of 250 small-dollar contributions from Denver residents. By meeting this threshold so quickly, Calderón's campaign signals strong early momentum and a deep connection to Denver voters.
"This is a campaign by, and for the people of Denver," said Lisa Calderón. "In less than a month, hundreds of neighbors — from our Westside communities to Northeast Denver to the heart of downtown — are invested in this vision for our city. The Fair Election Fund, established to reduce the influence of large donors and special interests in local elections, amplifies small-dollar contributions so that candidates can run competitive campaigns powered by everyday residents rather than wealthy insiders. Calderón, a longtime city advocate for affordable housing, public safety, workers’ rights, and better public transport, among other issues, will continue to focus her campaign on listening to Denver residents through a listening tour throughout 2026.
